There are a few pieces in fashion that are timeless: red lipstick, the perfect trench, a great pair of black pumps and a well-fitted blazer are only a few to mention. But it goes without saying that the most recognizable wardrobe ‘staple’ a woman should invest in is the little black dress.

LBDs are pieces that instantly help a woman go from day to night and lend themselves to being a go-to outfit for numerous occasions. Hugging in all the right places and always flattering, LBDs have made the lives of women everywhere immensely easier. With so much of our lives being spent on-the-go and in high gear, who doesn’t love a little help when it comes to maneuvering their wardrobe?

Now, the effortlessness that follows LBDs has gotten easier (and a little brighter too!). Enter: the Little Blue Dress. This season, we are surrounded by color. Pops of berry pinks and soft lavender hues. So, it was only natural to bring in some of those classic LBD shapes and invest in some blue!

A little blue dress is a great way to spruce up your closet, especially if you’re like most of us and so much of your wardrobe is black (we’ll admit it, here at Bliss we can all be a little guilty of this too...). A little blue dress can be just as versatile, sexy and classic as it’s well-known sister.

Easily pair-able with black and other neutrals, blue dresses are also amazing canvases for those bright turquoise earrings or that amazing coral necklace you’ve been dying to wear to help ring in our spring season! It feels as if I blinked, and December is here. Not that I mind, I've always been fond of shopping, Christmas lights and Elf marathons. Oh, and holiday get-togethers, of course!  If you're anything like me, the next couple of weekends are sure to be a whirlwind of family gatherings and work soirées. With the Christmas season upon us, it's time to start planning some festive outfits (after all, we all know grandma gets camera-happy during this time of year!). Lucky for you, we've got your holiday wardrobe covered. From sequins to silk, you're guaranteed to shine this season.

Sequins, sequins, and more sequins. We've been anticipating Velvet's Holiday Collection since we first laid eyes on it in NYC back in May. Seriously, out of any holiday collection we saw, they had the best sequins - and the best colors. Pick from classic black or a soft pewter, along with a variety of cuts & shapes. Probably the most versatile piece from the collection is Velvet's sequin crop jacket. Pair it with your favorite LBD or wear it with a comfy t-shirt & jeans - either way, you'll create an eye-catching look that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. 

Another must-try look from Velvet is their sequin v-neck tank dress. Not only does it demand the spotlight, but it's pencil skirt cut is super flattering. Add some tights, booties and even a layering top underneath. It's dressed-up layering at its best.

We're also loving the idea of a sequined tank. Perfect on its own or as a layering piece, it's an easy way to add some glam to your wardrobe basics. In addition to Velvet's dainty tank, Susana Monaco's light pink Meredith Top is a great choice if you're looking for something a little longer in length. If you ask us, every woman should have at least one sequined piece in her closet. 

Silk tops. They're festive enough for holidays yet ideal for everyday too. Without question, our charmeuse blouse by Steven Alan in bright red perfectly suits this time of year. Wear it with your go-to pair of jeans or some wax-coated skinnies by J Brand. It's a closet mainstay that we simply adore.
