For quite some time now, we've been working on launching our online store. Lots of preparation & planning have gone into this project so far; we're focusing on creating the same Bliss experience online that you would get if you were shopping in either our Portland or Portsmouth stores. In addition to best-selling favorites, you'll find new products that are just too special to not share with... well, everyone. We've worked so hard to create our Bliss aesthetic in our stores over the past ten years, that it's only right to hold our online store to that same high standard. And that's where we got the idea to produce our very own online look book. After meeting with local photographer (and knitter!) Carrie Bostick Hoge, we knew we were on to something good - possibly even great! 

Hopefully come February we'll have our official web store underway (fingers crossed!), but in the meantime, sign up HERE to be the first to know about the launch! {And follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest for more ways to track all that's going on at Bliss!}

Our Friday just got even better at Bliss, mostly due to the releasing of Maine Today's Buy Local Holiday Gift Guide. It was really exciting to see our favorite pieces mixed in with other goods from local boutiques & shops. And the photos? A couple months ago, Laura from Fore Front Fashion approached us about this festive photo shoot, and of course we were thrilled to contribute some of our seasonal goods - cozy sweaters, luxe corduroys & wool blankets. It's clear that all of their hard work has really paid off - not only am I in the mood for holiday shopping (I haven't even started yet!), but their final product is fun, charming & packed full of things we love about our little city.

Horseshoe Boutique, a lovely store in Seattle, Washington put together this behind the scenes peek at the new fall 2012 collection - and we love how each & every piece was brought to life! The styling, location (deserts of eastern Washington) and the cheerful model make this video, and ultimately this collection, a must-see.

It’s a busy time of year for us at Bliss.  New merchandise is rolling in for Spring - bright colors, fun dresses, and even shorts!  It’s as if our stores are getting a fresh makeover after a long winter; it’s exciting (and refreshing!) to say the least.  But for some of us, we’re already looking ahead to Fall... yes, Fall.  You see, just a couple weeks ago we headed down to New York City for Fall Coterie - the largest women’s contemporary clothing & accessories trade show in the fashion industry.  With over 1,200 vendors and 15,000 attendees, it’s a whirlwind of Fall collections, upcoming trends and a glimpse into what our stores will look like come September.

I know it’s hard to even think about skipping over the best time of year (spring/summer!), but trust me when I say that you won’t be disappointed when Fall rolls around.  Keep reading for a recap of our buying trip!
